Gate Ranges & Specifications
Joinery Quality Driveway Gates
Our Joinery Quality gates are 65mm + deep when finished; fully framed, ledged and braced. We use traditional mortice and tenoned joints which are glued using Polyurethane expanding glue and timber dowelled; this method of construction ensures strong long-lasting joints. The timber used in our Joinery Quality gates is Unsorted Redwood (unsorted is from grades 1-4, but we select from the Unsorted, so we use only best quality timber), the gate head for a swept top gate is made from ex. 220mm x 75mm timber, with flat top gate heads made from ex. 145mm x 75mm, the gate styles are made from ex. 145mm x 75mm timber and the ledges and braces are from ex. 145mm x 50mm timber. The gates are clad with ex. 19mm x 100mm Redwood TGV boarding. Available as single & paired gates with flat and bow tops.
All our Joinery Quality range gates can be constructed in hardwood, Oak, Teak, Utile & Iroko.
Please note these gates require painting or staining before or immediately after installation, we recommend products from the Sadolins or Sikkens exterior joinery paints range.

Premium Range Gates
Premium Range Closeboard & TGV Gates
Our Premium Range Closeboard & TGV gates are fully framed, ledged and braced. We use traditional mortice and tenoned joints on the ledges to styles connection, which are glued using Polyurethane expanding glue and star dowelled; this method of construction ensures strong, long-lasting joints. The timber used in our gate frames is Tanalised green pressure treated 5ths Redwood (softwood), the gate styles are made from 45mm x 95mm prepared square edge timber and the ledges and braces are 35mm x 95mm prepared square edge timber. The gates are clad with 2ex. 22mm x 100mm Tanalised featheredge boards or ex. 19mm x 100mm Tanalised Redwood TGV boarding. The gates are finished off with a twice weathered gate cap. Available as single & paired gates with flat and bow tops.
Please note, even though our Premium Range gates are made from Tanalised timber, they very much benefit from painting or staining before or immediately after installation, this helps the timber resist from absorbing moisture and swelling/warping & twisting. We recommend products from the Protek & Sadolins exterior joinery paint range.

Contractor Range Gates
Contractor Range Gates
Our Contractor range Closeboard gates are framed, ledged and braced. The timber used in our Contractor Range gate frame is Tanalised green pressure treated 5ths Redwood (softwood), the ledges and braces are from 35mm x 95mm prepared square edge timber. The gates are clad with 2ex. 22mm x 100mm Tanalised featheredge boards. Flat top gates are finished off with a twice weathered gate cap, bow top gates do not have a gate cap. Available as single gates only.
Please note, even though our Contractor Range gates are made from Tanalised timber, they very much benefit from painting or staining before or immediately after installation, this helps the timber resist from absorbing moisture and swelling/warping & twisting. We recommend products from the Protek & Sadolins exterior joinery paint range.

Our universal and estate field gates in Tanalised Redwood make beautiful entrance gates, offering security without losing visibility. Available in standard imperial sizes and fully bespoke made to measure.
